Downloading statement data results in information in the Memo field

When downloading a statement from your bank, the statement may contain might additional description data which identifies information about the individual transactions. This could include a (coded) location, time and date about the transaction or other information which you don't want.

To remove this information you will need to manually remove it from your Money file. To stop it happening, then you should turn off the following setting (example below is for Money 2005):

1. Tools->Settings->Online Services
2. Uncheck 'add a description to the memo field for transactions that include a description from the financial institution'
