System Requirements for Microsoft Money 2001

The published system requirements for Microsoft Money 2000 (all versions) are shown below. These are the requirements originally published by Microsoft.
  • A multimedia PC with a Pentium 90 or faster processor
  • Microsoft Windows 95 or later, Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 5 or later, or Microsoft Windows 2000*
  • 24 megabytes (MB) of RAM (32 MB of RAM recommended) for Windows 95 or later; 32 MB of RAM for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000
  • 75-210 MB of available hard disk space (210 MB required if Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later is not already installed)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later (included on the CD-ROM)
  • A double-speed (2X) or faster CD-ROM drive
  • A Super VGA video adapter with a video monitor capable of displaying 256 or more colors at a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels
  • A Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
  • A Sound card with speakers or headphones for sound playback
  • A 14,400 bits-per-second (bps) or faster modem for online banking and Internet updates**
  • An Internet service provider (ISP) for online banking and Internet updates (trial offer for MSN, The Microsoft Network included on the CD-ROM)***
* You may need to install the Windows 2000 High Encryption Pack to use online banking on a Windows 2000-based computer.

** Some financial institutions offer online services for a monthly fee. All software for online banking is included in Microsoft Money.

*** Internet access may require payment of a separate fee to an Internet service provider. Connect time charges may apply.
