Installation package could not be opened
If you recieve the message 'the installation package could not be opened' when trying to install Microsoft Money, then it is possible that part of your windows installation (the windows installer) is broken.
To fix this, you should first uninstall Microsoft Money (also uninstall the Microsoft Money System Pack, if installed (you will see it in Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) -
FAQ Article 126). Next, make sure you have the latest version of the Windows Installer package. You can obtain this from the
Microsoft downloads site.
Finally, you should restart your computer, and then try to install Microsoft Money from your setup disks again.
