A very misleading error message, because usually this isn''t the case!
To fix this issue, you should put in the Microsoft Money CD and then use Windows Explorer to look for the relevant file below:
- If you are running Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition (SE), or Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), double-click Msiw9x.exe.
- If you are running Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Microsoft Windows 2000, or Microsoft Windows XP, double-click Msint4.exe.
In either case, click 'OK' when you receive the 'Windows Installer Setup completed successfully' message.
Once the installer is updated, double-click the
syspack.msi file to install it, and then the
setup.exe file, which will install Money.
