Use this account in the budget
In the account details, you can select the option to use the account in the budget. This option, as seen below, is not available for all types of accounts. You can use it in 'Bank', 'Cash' and 'Investment' account types.
For investment accounts, to have the option available, the Investment account must have a cash part. In addition if the account is marked as a tax deferred account, then the options are not available (i guess the designers decided that tax free accounts should not be used as budget accounts - ie. use ones you pay tax on instead).
In all cases, you need to have the account 'open' to view the options (which is common sense!).
