How to run the deluxe MSN Money portfolio with Windows Vista

The portfolio for MSN Money runs in an ActiveX control. In Vista, ActiveX controls are disabled by default as Internet Explorer runs in protected mode.

ActiveX controls can be seen as a security problem, as within the control, commands can be run which can breach your security.

To resolve this, you'll need to specifically allow Internet Explorer to download the toolbox and run the control. To do this, go to Tools->Internet Options->Security. Click on the green 'trusted sites' icon and press 'Sites'. Add in the following two sites:

• http://moneycentral.msn.com
• *.fdl.microsoft.com

The latter site is where the toolbox is downloaded from.
