autoupdate.dll crashes in Money 2006 and 2007

If you are running Internet Explorer 7, then you may experience crashes in Money relating to the 'autoupdate.dll'. The error causes a crash, but this doesn't actually take Money down until you choose to send or not send the report to Microsoft.

To fix this error, you need to change the network settings in Internet Explorer, by selecting the Tools->Internet Options option. The click on the Connections tab and then the LAN Settings button.

In the resulting window, as seen below, make sure that you check the 'Automatically detect settings' option. The error then stops occurring.
