Looking up fund and share symbols

Microsoft Money downloads its fund and share prices from MSN Money, which obtains them from a number of sources. These funds and shares use particular symbols and codes which allow them to be downloaded.

The best way to determine the code for an investment would be to look it up on MSN Money, as if you can find it on there, Money should download it.

Money in general does not download Forex or Futures prices, although if you find one or two on the feed, and these have a symbol, they might work.

• Reporting symbol problems or requests for UK quotes (support link - FAQ Article 322)

For countries not listed above, it is possible to lookup quotes from your local MSN server. Links to these can be found on FAQ Article 52.

Note that in the UK, funds are retrieved from Morningstar. If a fund is not on that system, it won't be on the MSN Money list.
