Your statement contained a default currency which was unrelated to the currency of the account
You may see an error message when importing a bank statement saying "Your statement contained a default currency (GBP) which was unrelated to the currency of the account. Money does not support statements containing unrelated default currencies". This is usually caused by this 'Pound' currency that exists after a Quicken conversion, or the use of a custom currency in your money file.
To fix this problem, you should try to remove this currency by changing all of your accounts to use a standard built-in currency. For example, if you have a 'Pound' currency due to a Quicken conversion, change it to the 'British Pound' currency. Additionally, change the BASE and planner currencies and investments to 'British Pound' (see

FAQ Article 338 for more information on the Base and Planning Base currencies).
Money will not let you delete the old currency ('Pound') until there are no traces of it left in the system. Make sure you delete the custom currency when you've removed all traces of it, because then you won't accidentally choose it on another account. If you can delete it through the Money options/settings area, you will have verified that it has been removed.
Once the account has the new currency, it should be possible to import that statement correctly.
