Money Essentials won't read or convert my existing file

After installing Money Essentials, you may want to try and read your old Money file (Standard, Deluxe, Premium etc), but you find that you cannot do so.

This is, unfortunately, by design. The Essentials product is a download only option on Microsoft Money and is not equivalent to the old 'Standard' versions.

It does not convert old versions and is intended for new users only.

If you have purchased it and need to be able to import your old data from an existing Money file, then I would suggest you contact Digital River and arrange a refund. Next see FAQ Article 535 and purchase a different version for download.
